Agate forms inside volcanic rock as mineral-rich water slowly lays down thin layers, one on top of the next. Each slice is cut thin and polished, so you can see every ring. All colours except Natural are dyed, and the dye soaks into the bands to make them glow; Natural is the agate's own undyed colour.
