A NIGHT OUT, MINUS THE BAR
Girls' night in Kitchener that isn't a bar
You want everyone in one room, actually talking, with something to do with your hands. Nobody has to shout over a band or find parking near a patio.
Planning a girls' night in Kitchener that isn't a bar usually ends in the same group chat. Someone suggests a patio. Someone doesn't drink. Someone has to be up at six. Then it gets moved to next month.
So here's our pitch. Take over a private room at a crystal shop on Victoria Street and make bracelets for two hours. Bring whatever you like to drink, from champagne to a thermos of tea.
Why bracelet making is the good one
Busy hands help a group talk. You pick your stones and steal a bead from your friend's pile. The conversation looks after itself. You also leave with something you made.
The party is 2 hours in our private party room, which has space-themed lighting and a moody glow. It comes with setup, water, coffee and tea. There's also a scoop-your-own Crystal Confetti station, which is exactly as fun as it sounds.
Bracelet making here is a booked party, so please don't drop in expecting a table of beads. Book ahead and the room is yours.
What it costs for your group
Parties start at $600 and that covers your first 10 guests. Each extra guest is $45. Slide this to your headcount, then send the per-person number to the group chat.
Estimate your night
Got more than 20? Call us at 226-444-0176 and we'll talk it through. Book at least 7 days ahead through the party booking page, then fill in your details. The full rundown lives on the adult parties page.
Drinking is optional, and nobody will check
The booking page is called Crystals and Cocktails, but the cocktails are up to you. It's BYOB, so the night is as dry as you want it. If half the group brings wine and half brings kombucha, that works.
Food is the same deal. Bring a cake or a charcuterie board, or add a cake when you book.
If bracelets aren't your group
Every party centres on one activity. Bracelets are our favourite for a talkative group, but here's how the others tend to suit people.
What's your group like?
Curious about tarot
Pick tarot and oracle readings. It gives everyone something to compare and tease each other about after. No experience needed, and skeptics are welcome.
Love analyzing each other
Pick birth chart and numerology. You'll spend two hours finding out why your friends are like that. Try our free natal chart tool first to see if the group bites.
Everyone's exhausted
Pick a sound bath. You lie down, someone else makes the sound, and nobody has to be good company for a while.
There are only three or four of you
Look at the Crystal Lab. It's about 30 to 45 minutes and $60 per person. You get a tray picked for you and 30% off the crystals you choose. Book it ahead. Bigger groups can book it as a private party at $50 per person.
Rainy day with one friend?
You don't need a booking to come look around. Holding rocks is free, and you can walk the shop with a coffee's worth of catching up. Some events are free too, so check what's on before you settle for the mall.
Want beads without a party? Our bracelet builder lets you tap in 20 real stones online, and we string it by hand in Kitchener. You could each design one on the couch and compare.
