Mackenzie Jones makes the Elpoca Mountain Necklace in Calgary, Canada, with the peak named for the nearby Elbow River and Pocaterra Creek. It is handcrafted from scratch, so each piece has its own shape and texture. A small bit of mountain magic, without the hiking boots.

About Mackenzie Jones

Megan Mackenzie Jones studied Jewellery + Metals at the Alberta College of Art + Design, then built her studio in a basement while working as a landscaper. The first piece that took off was a ring shaped like a mountain range, made to carry a feeling of home around with you. Today a team of women casts every piece in house, mostly in recycled silver sourced in North America.

Why it's in our Collective: We are a rock shop. Mackenzie Jones makes jewellery out of mountains: real Canadian peaks, cast in silver and small enough to wear every day. It sits beautifully next to a crystal pendant, and it's made by hand in Alberta.
