Angelite Anhydrite Chunks #1

Angelite chunk also is known as an “angel stone”, this is naturally a glacier-blue soft tone, with minor streaks and patches of snow-white flecks with occasional rusty-brown inclusions.

These Angelite specimens from Peru. As shown in the photos, the surface matrix appears white and chalky but once cut into you will find 100% lovely blue Angelite (see pictures for reference). This Angelite rough would be great for carving!

There is some disagreement about Anhydrite versus Angelite in the metaphysical crystal community. Some see them as the same stone, while others see one as being related to the other. It is most commonly believed that Angelite is a form of Anhydrite that is only found in Peru and thus has deeper blue color to it.
