A generator is a quartz point with six polished faces, a sharp tip and a flat base, so it stands up on its own. This is our E grade, the top of the range: colourless and very clear, with only small inclusions.

The ancient Greeks called quartz krustallos, meaning ice, because they thought it was ice that never melted. It's traditionally linked with clarity and amplifying intentions, so it often anchors a crystal grid.
