Zebra Aragonite Chunk - Size #1
This is a banded zebra calcite specimen, This variation has only been found within Mexico. It features gorgeous alternating bands of black, brown, white, and golden calcite/aragonite. It exhibits banding patterns throughout the stone which reminds one of a Zebra’s stripes. It may even contain traces of Aragonite. These are the result of Calcite layers being interspersed with layers of other “phantom” minerals.
It can also be found on the market labeled as “banded aragonite”, “zebra aragonite” and “phantom banded calcite”.
