Orthocera Polished Fossil #2

This stone is coated in fossiliferous rock (the black marble-like matrix) created by chiselling the stone to reveal the Orthocera fossil.

Orthoceras are extinct cephalopods that existed between 345 million to 395 million years ago, during the Devonian period. All Orthocera chambers are split by walls known as the siphuncle and the septa. The line that goes from the top of the head to the tail is known as the siphuncle. The septa are the short, curved lines that go across the body or side to side.

It is said to bring harmony, dignity, and splendour while giving you a sense of beauty, charm, and charisma. It can also eliminate your mind of mental obsessions and stabilize one’s metabolism, energy output, and heart.
