Cut and polished Rose Quartz Egyptian Pendulum, with natural colors from very light, almost imperceptible pink, to a rich translucent pink. Hanging on a silver plated metal chain with ring. Our Egyptian pendulums are carved in the traditional shape.
Egyptian pendulums are based on the design of the Ancient Egyptian ‘ouadj’ amulet, which was often tucked into the bandages of Egyptian mummies. It was apparently used to protect and guide the dead in the next world.
In Greek Mythology legend has it that Adonis and Ares formed the Rose Quartz in a fight. As Aphrodite rushed to save Adonis he had been struck from the white quartz staining the stone with the mixed blood and has also been used for love since 600 B.C.
