Sulfur Freeform Pendant

Handcrafted freeform polished Sulfur, suspended from a metal bail to form a pendant.

A pendant is a useful crystal type, provided when set as jewelry and worn close to the body, it increases its healing benefits. With pieces crafted from a variety of volcanic rocks, Sulphur offers collectors and enthusiasts a unique and exciting experience. From the pure and striking colours of sunshine yellow to a creamy porcelain tone.

Since the sixth century BC, it has been employed in Indian alchemical practices as well as Chinese medicine. Later, it was employed as a component in the manufacture of gunpowder. Sulphur was used as a fumigant in Egypt and Greece, where it was combined into antiparasitics and skin balms. Sulfur is described in the Bible as a “burnstone” and is connected with Hell (possibly a reference to Sulfur’s volcanic origins).
