Shungite slice cut and polished to a flat rounded shape with colours of a deep black hue. Its appearance is similar to coal, containing 30 to 50 percent carbon.
Shungite is known to absorb and neutralize EMF radiation frequencies. Since the early 18th century shungite has been used in medicine and it is now sold as a pigment for paint in egg tempera and watercolor.
