Green Tourmaline on Quartz #2

This product includes unique pieces of quartz points and cluster formations with a variety of Tourmaline manifestations. Tourmaline on quartz matrix range from black, watermelon, and green as rods that were grown on quartz, some pieces may contain tourmaline encapsulating the quartz base.

These natural green tourmaline rough specimens have a medium to bright natural green color. Some transparent green tourmaline has some gem-grade pieces contained within a stone.

This small size crystal has few pieces that are naturally terminated and have a blue highlight or tone (not every piece is terminated but it is possible to find some within) The terminations and prismatic faces of this natural green tourmaline crystal are in good overall condition.

This rare quality tourmaline is completely near clean inside throughout its length with a few inclusions within the crystal. This green tourmaline crystal appears to be almost black, but when held near a light the color is easily visible as shown.

This gemstone throughout history has many ancient cultures, According to the ancient Egyptians Tourmaline passed through a rainbow on its journey from the sun, taking on all the colors of the rainbow before finding its resting place deep within the earth.

In the 1500s, a Spanish conquistador found green tourmaline in Brazil—which he mistook for emerald. His error held until the 1800s, when mineralogists finally identified tourmaline as its own mineral species. It wasn’t until the late 20th century that Tourmaline began to see a huge rise in popularity within the gem world.
