Astrophyllite - Tumbled Stones
Astrophyllite is a heavy soft and fragile crystal, the colors mostly appear with gold-brown blades extending across the stone within the majority of the greyscale spectrum.
Astrophyllite was discovered in Norway in 1854 originally recognized as “brown Mica” until it was renamed shortly thereafter. The Greek word “astron” is used as an astrophyllite name which means “star” and “phyllon” meaning leaf.
Tumbled Stones are packaged in a wide range of different sizes, our stone sizes vary in length and shape within the tumbling phase. We obtain our pre-packaged stones from our suppliers and make our measurements based on what we receive. Every stone will vary in shape and become irregular by having a flatter or rounder shape due to the tumbling stage.
